I’m Still Awake

SOLD

Oil on canvas
2020

There is a resemblance between what we see in our dreams and what we experience while awake. It can be hard to differentiate and oftentimes, Hosseini finds herself unable to fully understand whether she is dreaming or if she is awake. In this painting, she is taking a selfie as she falls asleep in an attempt to freeze a moment of transition from one state to another.
